I tend to use olsen blades mainly but am open to trying others and was buying them from woodworkscraftsupplies here in the uk nut they have now ceased trading so thought I would ask where do my fellow uk scrollers get there blades from or even my fellow non uk scrollers if shipping is not too high. Here`s hoping for a site that is cheaper than I was originally using what a result that would be

  7. I use old school mitre block and a decent razor saw but them I am a fuddy duddy who likes to make things hard for myself Yes I do have a table saw and chop saw but still go old school and no I don`t know why I still do lol

  10. That there is the reason I keep on practising to get to a level of cutting like that. What a quality pattern brought to life but a quality scroller. Thanks for sharing this with us. You know its a superb cut when you keep looking back at it and still think S*** that is one decent piece of work.

  16. Very nice came out nice with the backer board as well. I cut this just before christmas for a friend I also did not use the recommended wood I like to change it up also and used a piece of old pallet wood. Thanks for sharing

  18. It stands around the 18" mark so not huge but also not too small either it has a 70mm clock face.

  21. Have been nagged to do this from a fridge magnet for a couple of weeks managed to get time today. A lot probably wont know who this is she is from a comedy show here in the uk quite popular.
  22. I like the Charles Dearing patterns but have held back being new to scroll sawing and most of his have small cuts etc but thought I would now give one a go

  24. Thank you for the kind comment. My next one I am going to try and make from old pallet wood or something someone has thrown in a skip ie table top cupboard etc,I am a great believer in re using stuff rather than dumping so I am looking for a few pieces I can sand down and make my next one from. Having said that it reminds me I must invest in a thicknesser/planer soon as at the moment I use a palm sander/detail sander and hand sand all my scraps. ps. yes i do still have some skin left on my fingers
