  1. Thanks all for your help. I have ordered several different types of FD blades to try different projects. So many different projects I want to try, don't know where to start. Thinking for making my wife a desk pen holder for your desk at work.......will post when done. Be Safe!
  2. Absolutely Beautiful work
  3. I tried my hand today with the project below. My second time behind the scroll saw & I decided to try something with the spiral blades. It was a frustrating experience.........used 12 blades on this project.....most would break about an inch from the bottom. I did not purchase the higher end blades, which might have something to do with it.......I used (Bosch .023) from a big box store. Something I noticed was when I would finish a small section and moved to another section......sometimes the tension (after inserting the top portion of the blade) would be null........I would re-adjust the top of the blade again and the tension would be tight, however the blade would break during that cutting section. I tried several different tension levels and still the same issue. Any suggestions on what I was doing incorrect?

Can't want to get back on the saw.......Thinking about doing a cross for my beautiful bride. Be Safe & Merry Christmas!

  8. Need help locating a replacement or cross reference a air diaphragm & a air nozzle for a Delta 40-540 16" variable speed. Just starting out scrolling, the saw was given to me. I have cleaned up all the rust and lubed it..........runs great, but no air moves across my work piece due to a dry rotted air diaphragm. Unable to located a new or cross reference part. Thanks & Be Safe!

  13. I have been asked by a great friend to build a toy box / bookshelf for his grandson. The project is very simple & straight forward, can be completed within 8 to 10 years. However I wanted to add a surprise (something my friend is not expecting).........I wanted to add a name plate to the project. BLOCK letters inlaid...... name 'BLAKE". Don't know if I making this harder than it needs to be? My question is......"How do I inlay the insides of the block "B" and "A"?.........Do I reverse my boarder (bottom) piece to the top and then cut out the insides of the "B" and "A"? Any advise would be appreciated. Be Safe!
  14. Hi Ya'll, Not new to larger wood working projects, approx. 19 years ago I had to sell a large part of my tools due to the birth of our triplets (needed the $). Fast forward......now that they are away at college I have much more time to pursue my interest. Since I have been back into wood working (approx. 6 months) I have built my smoking hot wife a Farm Table and Computer Desk. In my hunt on the internet for different ideas and projects I have become hypnotize at the detailed work I have seen others complete on a scroll saw........the fire has been lit! Looking forward to learning something new & different. Be Safe! Skip
