  1. If you have a Rockler or woodcraft nearby, give them a call. I bought mine from rockler and they knocked $100 off for being a floor model. Had about 20 hrs on it.
  2. I would call grizzly direct first. I've heard from a friend that they were months behind. Nothing in stock.
  3. Ok so here's one more. I have different random bots answering the call. This guy can't figure out he's talking to a bot. RoboKiller-788B223F-2F14-4CE4-830D-23AC87F29EF9.mp4
  4. I hope this works. This is a voice recording from one of my bots on the app. Watch how fast the telemarketer hangs up when he thinks I had an alien encounter. It's fun to mess with the telemarketers and scammers. Turn your sound up. RoboKiller-B7A3D9F8-575C-42BD-8049-0F00229F92FB.mp4
  5. Lots of great ideas. Thank you all.
  6. It was for the year.
  7. I no longer have a landline. Cell only. The best $20 I ever spent is for an app called robokill. You won't get anymore of those spam calls. Super easy to use and I believe it has a free one week trial.
  8. I never really gave it much thought when I jumped into this scrolling but I'm curious and would appreciate any other ways besides framing that you display your work. I spent this last weekend making tabs saw jigs for picture frames and splines. Even with making that part easier, I still hate making picture frames. It's just not enjoyable to me. So I'm looking for other ways to do this. Thanks in advance.
  9. I 2nd spar urethane. I don't think there's anything better to repel the amount of moisture those coasters will see.
  10. Best to read the labels on the tape. It should tell you how many days you have to get the tape off cleanly. Most are either 7 or 14 days. The green tape works best for dirtier surfaces and will be more sticky. If I'm masking on concrete or stucco I use the green tape from the paint store that says right on it "for brick or concrete". My local box store doesn't carry this type tape. I wouldn't recommend it for wood projects. Even the blue tape has different purposes. Some blue tape is used for smooth surfaces and others are used for uneven surfaces. I'll add to the pot and just say read the label and you'll be fine.
  11. I have the same unit. I just vacuumed my outer filter with the shop vac. The inner filter had hardly anything on it. Had mine for almost a year now. I do have dust collection but still run it whenever I'm in the shop.
  12. Well I think this is my 4th Scroll saw work done. I learned a lot from this one. Words like, oh cr*p and a few other 4 letter words were frequently used during the making of this. I think I broke it like 3-4 times. Did learn to use a spiral blade and when not to use one. Also used a #2, both from flying dutchman. After all said and done i think i bit off a bit more than i should have for so early in my journey. Pattern from Janevski in the pattern library. Was fun but so glad its done!

  15. Wow, well done. Really embarrassed of my first project now.
  16. Well here are my first 2 scroll saw projects ever. Plan on painting these with an airbrush that I don't have yet. Might as well learn them both at the same time. I had fun making these. The squirrel project definitely challenged me . Just used scrap plywood. Patterns from the book wildlife patterns by Lora Irish.
  17. Just signed up to the site. New to scrollsawing. Recently purchased the Dewalt 788. Just wanted to say hello.
