Thank you for the replies. I didn't get the extended warranty. I never have taken advantage of them. I think most problems show up during the original warranty.

Than you, Jerry. I have been leaning toward the Delta, but wanted some opinions of users of each machine.

I am having a hard time deciding between a Delta 40-694 and a DeWalt DW788. The Delta is a little cheaper. I don't see as many reports on the Delta as the DeWalt. The DeWalt seems to be more popular, but I don't know why. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Farmerdon
