This was fun to make, still need to put a clear finish. The pattern I think was for it to hang on the wall, but I want to put it on a shelf so I created a base to fit it. I use cedar. What do you all think?

Question, on the left side of the page there is a heart, and other symbols. I keep clicking the heart without really knowing what it means. Can you explain them to me?

Yes I made the picture also with help from my husband. I’m going to try and sell the pictures at a craft show in November. I put the cat and mouse on it because I couldn’t reach the top of the door frame. Here is another picture I made. In private sales I have sold 5.

I thought of that and took a picture and showed my husband and I had it correctly. I broke a couple blades, so I scraped that project.

I found out it’s hard that is for sure.

I’m cutting 1/2” and getting a lot of chattering like I have no control and I’m holding on really tight. My hand is hurting. I cutting Hickory and it says it is a soft wood. Maybe I’m just weak. Any ideas?

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I don’t know how to respond to individual ones. One of the questions wa what did I use for coloring. I mix my own stain with colored pigments. Then I put a finish called Bobs Miracle. 1 part Gloss Spar Vanrnish, 1part Boiled Linseed Oil and 1 part Paint Thinner.
