  1. Very nice work, Dave. "Books on my mind" piece I particularly relate to. I can appreciate the craftsmanship involved.
  2. Great to see you back, Mike. Awesome work!
  3. Nice work Dave!
  4. Perfect!
  5. First off Marie, that's a very beautiful piece. What a wonderful wedding gift that will be treasured forever. I don't want to hijack your thread so feel free to respond to me via message. I did a few searches, but am striking out looking for more information about @Dave Monk technique used to "raise the vines out of the wood". I'd like to learn more. Could you or Dave point me in the right direction? Thanks! Again, awesome work! Danny
  6. I don't post much, but I read a lot. I generally skim through and read what sounds interesting to me from the unread content since the last time I was on. I then mark the site as read before I leave. Most of what you purpose works for me, but I do hope you choose to leave the business side available as is. Thanks for what you do!
  7. Mike, is the edge banding back in part 5 more decorative or do you consider it necessary to maintain stability of the frame? I realize it serves both purposes, but wondering if it is needed or not. This is turning out to be an awesome looking frame!
  8. Awesome work, Mike!
  9. The woodturning community has many of these type of events. That's partly why I started this thread. I do some woodturning, but have recently done much more scroll sawing. I was hoping to find something similar to the symposiums, expos, trade shows, etc. in the scrolling community. It seems like there used to be a few, but not exists anymore.
  10. I'm wondering what woodworking trade shows others are aware of in 2023. While they don't have to be exclusively scroll saw oriented, that's obviously our focus here. The only on I am aware of is the Midwest Scroll Saw Show in Dubuque, Iowa. That yearly show resumed in Aug 2022, so I presume (hope) it will be held again this coming year. What else is out there?
