**UPDATE** The saw was trashed and was missing several pieces. Bearings (turned by hand) sounded OK but the guy didn't even have a plug on it so I could turn it on!! Obviously I passed on it...imagine going to buy a car and it not having any gas! Trust me it works...REALLY?! That really is Buyer Beware...LOL Thanks all for your input. Scott

Thanks guys...Yeah, I was thinking that parts could be an issue. I'm gonna head over today and take a closer look at the saw, maybe run a pc of wood thru it and listen carefully. Again Thx S

Hello everyone, I'm curious if anyone has experience with the scroll saw mentioned below. I currently own a Pegas 21" but am considering a 30" for larger projects. Thanks in advance for any insights or opinions. Scott

Here in Sherwood Park Canada , we have taken in (our community) many refugees from the Ukraine / Russia war. My wife volunteers at our local church and asked if I could come up with something that might make the ones we have made acquaintances with, something special. They were attending ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at the church along with a lady from Mexico. I came up with these... The Ukrainian Tryzub (Trident) and Mexican Eagle are contained within the Maple Leaf. Both are cut with @3 degree angle relief cut so they "pop". They measure about 5" wide and 4.x5" tall. BTW Congrats to Fab4!!! Keep it going!!

I saw this last spring on Steve's website and on a lark sent it to my sis-in-law...which turned out to be a mistake. She LOVED it and asked if it could be bigger? I said Bigger? Like how big? Oh she said...like 3'!! I got most of it cut out of 3/4" Ply and then she asked if she could ditch the "Springtime" and get "Welcome"...Hmmm Ya I guess. Final dimensions were @39" Tall and @38" wide Tools utilized: Table Saw, Jig Saw, Scroll Saw, Hand Saw, 5' Random orbit sander, Belt disc sander Scott McCaul

I had several "alignment" issues when I first got my Pegas 21. I called Michael Murray - 1 (732) 904-2174 who is a Pegas Tech in NY (??). He walked me through the processes and viola I can cut at 45 or bit more each side (if i remove dust collection). He's a good tech and knows his stuff. Give him a shot... Scott McCaul

Thanks everyone for your input! I'll try to buff it out, as per Bear Woods recent reply, and at the end of the day...use the saw as intended. It is afterall a piece of machinery that is meant to be used...like a truck! HAHA I have a buddy who does Powder Coating so if the table top gets too ugly...I give him a call. Thanks Scott McCaul

Hey Frank...I just received my Pegas 21" saw the other day. The setup was easy and I was very excited to use it after reading all of the positive comments I've seen here. Before using the saw I read that a good coat of Paste Wax would help so I was diligent and followed all of the recommendations of putting on the wax...letting it dry and then buffing it. After 1.5 hours of use I then noted that the table had several circular scratches that are quite disconcerting. I checked the piece of wood containing my pattern for anything that would scratch it...nothing but tape and wood. I'm not impressed now! Is your saw having the same or similar issues? Keep in mind this is after 1.5 Hours! I have reached out to the distributor, Bear Woods, and their only comment thus far was that it may have been a broken piece from a blade. I only used a single blade for a short period of time and you can see the results. For almost $1200 CAD you'd think that it would have better durability? I'm waiting for their next response. Would anyone have any suggestions? Maybe Powder Coating it? I can cover it up with a Magnetic Sheet as someone above posted...but do you spray paint a Porsche? Thx Scott
