  1. Wishing all my Scroll Saw friends a very Happy Festive season with family and friends. Thank you for your wonderful support through the year. Please stay Safe and Warm and may God Bless you all.
  2. Here in South Africa we stay a gated security complex, the municipal regulations that I can work in the garage during normal business hours, which I adhere to, don’t do any work on Sundays. No problems with any of the neighbours.
  3. Thank You Marg, yip my old modified Wen came to the party again, very happy with the result.
  4. Thank You Joe.
  5. Thank You RJ.
  6. Thank You Peter.
  7. Yip they will gladly take it for nothing, I feel I’ve paid my dues, I’ve worked hard at my technique and quality of my work, people just don’t understand the hours of concentration that goes into a Fretwork Complex Pattern, very sad indeed.
  8. Thanks for your tip, I in fact use a silicone free wax that we can get here, which I use for the table saw and router table tops, the legs are waged with warm soapy water the dried and a coat of wax applied, the saw blades etc are checked and cleaned and coated with WD 40. With regards to me selling my cuttings, people are interested until you give them a price and then all of a sudden lose interest, they don’t appreciate this time and effort that goes into doing cuttings like this.
  9. Just finished this beautiful Russ Beard pattern, I double stacked 4mm Birch Plywood, cut with a Niqua #1 pin less blade, soaked in BLO/Mineral Spirits mixture, will get a light sanding and the a few Coates of clear Lacquer spray. This will be my last cut for 2024 and probably for a while, need to sell some of my cuts to cover the costs of the consumables. Planning on making some frames ( going to try a different technique) do some general wood workin and because we stay on the coast the sea air is very corrosive so I’m planning to wash all my machines, check them for any signs of rust and just generally give the all a good service.
