  1. Happy Birthday diamond!  I hope you have an awesome day!

  2. Hi all. I am just getting back from being away on fairly large construction project that I am doing. Also, I did not have a computer or laptop at the motel I was staying at to check scroll saw village to see if anyone had a chance to do anyting with the pattern requests that I sent in. Don R. & Mahendra, I sent you both a great big thank you for your help with the portrait of thge 2 children last night, but upon checking today, I dont think it got posted. I know I did not recieve e-mail notification on my pattern requests, but I was very happy to see the results when I liikked last night....Amazing. You guys are really great and did a bang up job. I cant thank you both enough. My sincere thanks. My Single mom niehbour is going to cry when she sees the portrait, because she loves those 2 children more than anything in this world and she is such a great mom to them. She really desrves this and it would not have been possible without your help. Because of you, we are going to make a forever cherished memory of these 2 beautiful children and I know how much this will mean to her. Cant wait to get it done for her. I will post photo of finished project so you can see the fruit of your unselfish and haritable labour flower. I know this must have taken a great deal of time to do, and time is something very precious to me and I am sure, all of us, With the truly short time that we have in this life, we must make evry moment count. Gentlemen, your time has been well spent. Your efforts, talent and sacrifice of your time is appreciated more than you could know, and for that, once again I thank you. Regards & Best Wishes, Diamond
  3. Don R,, Once again you have come through for me in a big way. What a great job on the pattern. I cant wait to make this plaque and see my father-in-laws face when the chief and I present it to him in front of a huge crowd of people. He thinks that he has already had his retirement send-off, but little does he know, ever since he announced that he was going to retire, we have been planning something that even for our town is probably the biggest event for a special occasion to ever take place here. There will even be a parade in his honor. All firefighters past & current, city officials & workers, provincial police, EMS, district RCMP representatives, town & hospital workers, most living people that he saved, including parents, children and even grandchildren. Friends, Family, active & retired journalists and people from far outside of our little town will be there. Many of these people Mr. Todd has never even met before, but they have all heard of him and his somewhat legendary feats of bravery on countless occasions in order to save so many peoples lives. They all wish to attend, to pay hommage and help us all to give our heartfelt thanks as we honor our local hero & friend one last time. Many of the people attending are coming from towns well outside of our region, from nieghbouring provinces, and yes even from some from the Eastern US States that we share our border with. So many from all around this town and far and wide in every direction are aware of the countless occasions upon which he fearlessly acted to pull helpless infants, people and even animals from the ensueing flames, sometimes going back in as many as 7 or 8 times to save as many lives as he could. He has been burnt, fallen through collapsed sections of floors & roofing, been trapped in the fires himself, and on at least 2 occasions that I know of, been revived and hospitalized from massive smoke inhalation. Its almost inconceivable that after all of the close calls he has had, that he is still with us today, having continued time after time to risk his life the way he did. I guess only he could truly understand why, and if you were to ask him he would answer the same as always; that he only did what anyone in his place would have done, thats all. We have changed the location of the gathering already 3 times due to the huge outpouring of people that wish to attend, although he is undeniably incredulous and completely unaware of the meaning and the impact that his selfless actions have had on the hundreds of lives and multitude of families that were given a second chance and spared tragedy through his heroism. This is an important day to all of us, even more in a way than it will be for Mr. Todd, as I am sure that we will all here him say before the days end that it was all too much, and no thanks were ever neccessary. He was just glad that he could help. You see, that is this simple & kind mans way and after all, I guess that is what all true heros say. My thanks again for all of your help, and I consider myself blessed to be married to this mans daughter and to have him as my father-in-law. I am also truly honored to be able to give him something that I have hand-made with your help. It will be given from all of us and I know that it will be cherished and appreciated by him more than anything else on this day. He is the type of man that truly loves, admires & appreciates what goes into all things hand made. I will definately post photos of all the finished products for which you have made patterns for and I jhope that for my part, I have done your work justice. PS Don, I have been away on a large construction project and returned last night. I could not wait to see if anybody was able to help. I also was wondering as I had not had any e-mail notifications from this site, my fault. I did not turn the notifications on. I am still getting used to this website and forum. Once again, all of the patterns are amazing and I tip my hat to you sir. I appreciate your help more than you know. Great Job Don! Regards, Diamond
  4. Great job on the Tiger Woods Pattern and thanks for my copy. Lets hope the King of Golf can get his game back on track to where it was before all of the Problems, Scandal & Drama started as he was & still is one of the greatest to evr play the game. Diamond
  5. Hello again to all. Could anyone withpattern making skills help make a pattern of local Volunteer Fire Department logo so that I can give my father-in-law a much deserved recognition & thank-you for 46 years of Selfless and Brave service by making a custom plaque to commemorate his untiring and never faultering service as a leader & hero to all who had the pleasure to knowor work with him to save lives. After an unprecedented 46 years,my father-in-law is retiring from the department and I only wish to make a plaque that can do this great mans accomplishments & career justice. Thanks in advance to all, and keep up the amazing work/ I can only hope to one day to attain the high measure of success and skill that you posess. You are true artists! Thank-You for showing us what is possible when you work hard and are truly passionate about the work that you do. . Diamond P.S. I could only gat a uniform patch to scan the logo so I hope the image quality is O.K.

  8. Hi everyone! I recently posted a photo asking for help to produce a pattern of my nephew holding a frog that he had caught, . Don R was very kind to do so and I must say, he did an incredible pattern that helped me turn this photo into a work of art that has become a real topic of discussion in my family....Thanks again Don R. A I live next to a single mom raising her young daughter & son on her own. after seeing the finished portrait, she asked me if it would be possible to cut a portrait of her 2 children together. If its not too much inconvenience, and time as well as patience permits, could any of the amazing pattern makers on this site help with this portriat pattern. I can make some fairly complex & detailed scroll saw patterns of many things, but am really lacking in experience & flair for doing portrait patterns of people. Any help would be much appreciated and I cant think of anyone that deserves to receive a special handmade keepsake of her children than she does. Thank-You Diamond talyka abd shaw Cropped.bmp

Very impressive work. I could not be happier. Now this photo will be turned into a work of art to be admired in my family for many generations to come! Heartfelt thanks & appreciation to all. Diamond
  10. Hi, could any of the many talented artists/designers at ScrollSaw Village help me by making a portrait pattern of my nephew. I am a real novice at pattern design and am not having much success on my own. Your help would be very much appreciated. P.S. The background is unimportant, please disregard everything except the boy holding the frog. Thanks, Diamond Frog1.bmp
