  1. FINAL UPDATE: and it’s great news. Pegas stand came today, go it built and the saw mounted. Right now I’m using the adjustable feet that came with the saw. I couldn’t be happier, basically noise and vibration free. Couldn’t have done this without everyone’s help, it helped me learn so much about these saws.
  2. Good to hear. Bolting it to my bench only made it worse. I order the Pegas stand about an hour ago so hopefully it will be here early next week. I will probably bolt on retractable wheels so I can move it around
  3. Thats 2 for the Pegas stand. May just go that route, possibly in the future I’ll build something with retractable wheels so I can roll it around then sit solid on the floor
  4. I just looked at that stand, how do you like it. Is it heavy duty enough, not flimsy ?
  5. UPDATE….. after all this there was nothing wrong with my saw. The manual says to adjust the arm parallel to the table with no blade. This is incorrect, the arm is supposed to be parallel to the table with a blade inserted and tension on the arm. Apparently they haven’t made that change in the manual yet. Plus for some reason this saw doesn’t like sitting on my bench, had no problem with the other saw sitting on the bench I also put the motor back to the factory shipped setting and this saw runs as smooth as glass. Passed the double nickel test (I used 2 nickels) so yes the saw came set correctly from the factory and yes they are set and inspected at the factory. I learned a lot and looking back it seems so simple. Thanks to everyone for all the comments. So now I need a recommendation on a high quality stand for the saw.
  6. Not much to update today, exchanged a few emails. They requested a video of the vibration. Will see what happens tomorrow.
  7. Thanks, I will look them up
  8. I’m fine sharing where I purchased after I get this resolved. My understanding is that they all ship from Grobet so they handle all the warranty claims as they did my first one. Already sent email to tech requesting a call today and I will most definitely post an update later today and I plan on asking some questions as well
  9. Received an email from the tech today, nothing productive. If I get some meaningful/helpful instruction tomorrow and it works properly I may keep it. If not then I’m willing to try a third Pegas saw but after that it’s a refund and on to another brand ….. I’ll start taking recommendations incase I need to go that route, only interested in 20" range saws
  10. Gotcha, Pegas has a different motor and we don’t have those screws. Manual says with the speed on lowest setting and running turn the motor for adjustment. Just kinda had to tell, I just put my finger on the back side of the blade till it felt smooth. With everything I just did its 99% better but I’m still not happy having to do all this, still gonna follow up with Grobet on Monday
  11. I did reach out to them the next morning which was Friday and I received email feedback this morning (Saturday) wanting me to confirm a setup measurement which I did, unfortunately the communication back and forth is a little delayed. Regarding messing with a warranty, I’m not doing anything to the saw that’s not an approved adjustment in the manual. I 100% agree they should be damn near perfect coming out of the box for the money but if a few adjustments are required (which are in the manual) then I certainly don’t want to go without another saw for another week.
  12. Ok, thanks. What process did you use to verify the blade was going straight up and down
  13. I actually fastened this saw to the bench thinking it would help but that made it way worse. My other saw was practically vibration free and that saw just sat on thin rubber pads on top of my work bench.
  14. I will work on it more tomorrow, I have rotated the motor both directions but it’s difficult to tell when the blade is going straight up & down. Best I could do was to put an aluminum gauge block behind the blade while it was running on low and adjust the motor to where the blade wasn’t bouncing the gauge block but I couldn’t get it completely straight up & down. I know all saws will be different but how much do you think you turned/rotated your motor ?
  15. Yes I am, I posted on the other forum when I had issues with my first Pegas and Denny and I discussed a few things. I also purchased some blades from him. Great guy. I’m fine doing what you said and giving Denny the business but it won’t solve the issues I had and now having. First saw had a manufacturing defect and who knows what’s wrong with this one.
