  1. My friend has about 60,000 square feet under roof - he has some really nice toys in his shop.
  2. Thomas If you have a friend with a machine shop who works free or for small cost I have a suggestion. I have such a friend and I had him make a new table top two inches wider on each side and four inches longer in front. I love the extra size. He would not accept anything so I made a donation to the local food bank in his name. The picture shows the difference.
  3. Hans superlativos no describen adecuadamente su trabajo I hope the translation was flattering and not rude.
  4. Doc Two quotes from Mr. Eastwood for you: “It's not about you. It's about them.†― Clint Eastwood “There's a rebel lying deep in my soul. Anytime anybody tells me the trend is such and such, I go the opposite direction. I hate the idea of trends. I hate imitation; I have a reverence for individuality.†― Clint Eastwood You avatar is always an inspiration for me.
  5. Paul You will now have to change it so you can say you have read of only one who tried it and did not like it. I have a practically new on/off (not dead man) foot pedal sitting on the shelf. Not interested in a dead man switch or any type of knee switch. Roly - stay the course, I do not think you would like one either. I would ship mine to you but shipping over the pond would probably cost more than it is worth; especially since to me it is worth nothing. Not critical of those who love them, but I am just not in that group.
  6. And all this time I thought the avatar was a picture of the real Travis!!
  7. I do not think you need to apologize for anything. Intentional or inadvertant, I thought it humorous and I cannot imagine anyone being offended.
  8. Welcome to the place for a great journey Martin. If Larry is correct we will all look forward to a Scot teaching the Irish - this should be fun to watch.
  9. Don I would love to do that. Is that a pattern you can share or is there a source where it can be purchased. Doug
  10. absolutamente ningún delito tomada I understood that but I may not always take the time to do the translation or respond in kind; although it has been an interesting exercise since I had never done it before.
  11. okay Frank - I want to know bad enough you are forcing me to Google translate - "Wonderful job, looks very well done, thanks for sharing" Wish I had Google translate when I was 10 years old and my grandparents switched from English to German; but then I would have to have been able to spell what they said. by the way, I do agree. por cierto , estoy de acuerdo
  12. Get a grip on yourself Hans - your sharing is needed here. Heck, they even tolerate me.
  13. I am an old man with bad eyes and shaky hands doing poor quality folk art with wood and a scroll saw - best viewed at a distance in a dimly lit room - but loving every minute of it.
  14. Great work. I was just going to do a "like this" but was afraid you might think the "like this" comment including the ear piercing.
  15. Frank I am monolingal and have no idea what you said but I am sure I agree.
  16. Good plan and great prioritizing!!
  17. Luis Great work. Are you the pattern maker or where do you find the great horse patterns you do?
  18. Hans Outstanding as always. If you are filling the house, throw the books away as you cannot have time to read them with all of the great scroll work you do. You can than use the bookshelves as scroll work display shelves.
  19. Dan It certainly does not compare well with the portrait you cut or that Paul did the pattern for but I had a friend who was very close with their golden retriever named Dunkin and I did the following with the name, a retriever, and a halo. If it helps you could think about something like this also for either or both of your dogs.
  20. Nick On our side of the pond that last part reads "He is still wrong!!"
  21. And how much time did you spend with her?
  22. Nick When I started typing your post was not up yet or I would not have duplicated it. Must have just taken yours longer to cross from UK.
  23. Roy Click on the link and then click on Manual so you have what you need. http://www.general.ca/products/2_excalibur/EX-30.html
  24. Check your manual. At the back on the left hand side as you are sitting in front of it you will find a bolt sticking out which has a screwdriver slot in it and a nut which holds the bolt in place - loosen the nut, give the bolt a quarter turn, tighten the nut and test the adjustment to see if it needs tightened more or whether it is too tight. I am assuming the 30 has the same arm tension adjustment as the 21 but I am away from my saw and manual so am just relating what I do on the 21. It is a friction type of thing so over time it naturally has some wear and will not hold the arm up as well.
