Do you know of a good font for this? A font that does not require a base would be great or a pattern.

A villager asked how to install fonts in Inkscape in a different thread. I've started this new thread so as not to clutter up the other one. Typically one does not install a font for a single application, the fonts are installed in the OS ( Operating System ). The OS then handles the fonts when the application asks for them. How to install the fonts will vary depending on which OS is being used and what version of that OS is currently installed on the PC. In order to respond to a question such as this, the OS, version, and any other oddball information needs to be known. For example I am running the latest version of Linux; Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS and Inkscape 1.2.1 . My laptop is fairly old, but still robust enough to run the latest Linux update, still have some issues with Firefox not running some websites (facebook, nextdoor, lumberjocks, credit card sites) Chrome run all the sites just fine, so I assume it's something in Firefox (they fixed the Facebook issue with a recent update).

Just getting starting in the world of scroll saw as a new "grandpa" activity. I am trying to match a font that will allow me to make matching name blocks for my new TRIPLET granddaughters. Any help matching the pictured font would be most helpful. Thanks!

Hello Group Been too busy with the job (again). This is one of Steve Goods Cross Patterns. Can you tell me if this is font? If so, would you direct me to it? I would really appreciate some help. I don't know why my "return" key is doing a double line spacing on the keyboard Thank you all Sam

Hi all, I haven't been here in a few weeks (too many hours and travel at the job :( I don't think this question belongs in this section but I couldn't find an Inkscape section. Is there a script font (connected) font where I can do name as one piece? I would like something similar to the font of the attached image. Thank you all in advance Sam

The font is called FREEDOM 9 Wood is dark walnut and light oak letters, Routered edges sprayed black sanded off then vanished, stuck on letters water proof wood glue job done. Thanks for viewing Roly
