glucas4 Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Just picked up my entry into Rockler's "Adventures in Wood" contest. I did not win. The wordart is made from purpleheart and the cross from red oak. The purpleheart lettering is very fragile. Edited June 4, 2014 by glucas4 lawson56 1 Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 That looks great, I think. Would like to see it better ( bigger picture ) My eyes are not what they used to be Sorry it did not win, Might wish to cut the letters from bb ply which would be a lot stronger for the lettering. I like the concept and it is visually pleasing I think it deserved to win. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW Quote

wombatie Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Obviously the judges have no idea just what a heart stopper that would have been to cut. You did a terrific job and I'm sorry that you did not win anything. Marg Quote

bandaideman Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 Gary that is beautiful and I got to see it in person. I did not know about the contest but was there and saw all the great work and yours was there. Seeing it in person was well worth it. Quote
