We are serving up eggs, any way you like 'em, sausage, bacon, steak, grits, oatmeal, fruit, and juices, just to name a few. Why the big shindig...we are celebrating our 28th year of marriage today. Half the day will be spent doing my things ( mowing the lawn, planting trees, and clearing a culvert) and the other half we will do her thing ( dinner and a bluegrass festival). Fun day in store for me.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Congratulations and thanks for the coffee.  Your wife definitely has a better idea on celebrating.

I'm coming up on the 51st anniversary, oh wait that's for the divorce not wedding. ;)

Congrats Dan! I'll just have coffee..... We went to Applebee's last night for BBQ ribs and such and I choked on a piece of some thing and could not eat but very little so brought mine home in a small box and after all the choking and stuff was done which was around 11:30 P.M I was able to finally eat and enjoy my meal. It was embarrassing and not to mention they have a new way to order and pay for the food which we did not know about as no one had explained it to us. Each table has a little computer thing on the end of them and then you select, order and pay on that little thing and no instructions. So when we left we were looking for the cashier and they had none. I hope all restaurants will not convert to that method. Too confusing for my taste. So they thought we were leaving with out paying. What a mess. The food was great tho. We will have to go to another place for ribs next time and it's my turn to fork up the money. So I was not feeling good last night but have a sore throat today but not too bad. Just scratchy feeling but I'll be fine once I get a little coffee down. Every one take care.   Fay

Thanks all.

Fay, whenever we go to a restaurant like Applebee's and the server performs less duties, their tip reflect it. When we have great service, I think we make the servers very happy, but when the service is mediocre at best, I hope the server has a second job. I understand they sometimes have a lot to do, but if they don't have time to stop by to bring the check or explain the new procedure they are not doing their job.

Sorry Dan...a bit late for breakfast (even though ours was probably 5 hrs earlier than yours LOL) Busy day as usual, so only just checked in. Congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary. For the 'Bad times vs good'.... I was always told a 60/40 split is what you should expect - we always find that most problems are involving others, the kids or things beyond our control. If that's it - you've graduated. In the UK, marriage seems to be too much commitment for most (although they still have children!!!) Anyway - have a great anniversary, and feel proud.

Kindest Regards,

Nick.
