  1. Whoaa! Bob...can you imagine - what will it be like around here with multiple "Amazing Kevin's"? Try working out how many surplus stock boxes that will be! LOL
  2. Great news Kevin - it all helps to pay the bills
  3. Great work Larry. I love quirky and obscure stuff - it's much more interesting than patterns that are replicated everywhere. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  4. My favourite quote ever Roly...."If a man says something in the woods, and there's no women to hear him...is he still wrong?" LOL
  5. Hey Andy...I know Brum quite well (I lived near Cov for 5 years) I'd save for the Excalibur (any model) if I were you - my EX-30 was the best purchase I could've made and can't be happier with it. A lot of it is down to personal choice, but if you're getting serious about scrollin' you may want to spend a little more. Axminster Tools are the UK's leading stockist for Excalibur - and there's a branch in Nuneaton. Hope this helps, and welcome the the village. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  6. Good old fibre optic, eh Doug! Maybe it's time to jump back to morse code LOL
  7. Hey Roly...I spy Mr Grumpy LOL
  8. Let me know if you ever need a PDF of the manual, Roy.
  9. Hey Roy. There is a screw that needs some attention on the left hand rear panel. It only needs to be tightened slightly. I don't have the full details right now, but if you send me a message directly, stating your email address, I'll send you the EX 30 user manual. Hope this helps. Kindest Regards, Nick - Bridlington (East Riding of Yorkshire) Love Manchester by the way...especially over the Snake Pass to Glossop.
  10. Cool Frank!
  11. Wise words Roly.Just caught up with something at the moment, but I'll be in touch about the cages soon buddy. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  12. I am a proud owner of an EX-30. (Some of my work is quite large which is why I chose the 30). I started with an entry level saw, and quickly realised that I needed something more substantial and suited for heavier use. If you are in the same situation, I would advise that you research well, and consider you're budget. Dewalt, Hegner etc also offer some very good, high-end saws - but when you're spending that kind of money...take you're time. Find what's best for you, then don't look back. For my work, it was the most logical decision I could've made and I'm delighted. If you require any more information, just give me a shout. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  13. Not sure what it's referred to as in the US, but all you need is cheap standard 'White Masking Tape'. It comes in a range of widths, and is predominantly used in the vehicle repair industry. If you prep the wood correctly, and apply the tape in the same way - it's perfect (and very cheap). I'm aware that everyone has preferences, but after many experiments...I'd use nothing else. There are many other methods which usually cost far more money, but standard masking tape and re-positional spray adhesive is all you'll ever need. I hope this helps, and any questions are welcome. For detailed information, please see http://www.tinkers-cove.blogspot.co.uk/ Kindest Regards, Nick.
  14. Thanks Roly...the cages are from Sheila's site, and I love them also. They seem to be a big hit - but you really need to have a steady hand for the lines, because it's very noticeable if you're out slightly. If you 'Direct Message' me - as soon as I get a minute, I'll talk you through it mate. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  15. No problems Dan. Original Image Desaturated Vectorised (Pattern) Finished Piece Central Close-up Bottom Left Corner (Wet Sand) Top Left Corner (Sky) Wooden Wall Mounted Oh, nearly forgot to say...the orange splash is the same colour scheme of the actual theatre.
  16. Morning all. Hope everybody is happy & smiling Latest piece just finished. ("said with a huge sigh of relief!) I will be posting the whole process on the blog when I get time. Kindest Regards, Nick. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.860399797318414.1073741836.213980035293730&type=1
  17. Ah well Kevin...if nothing else, at least you can ship it anywhere in the world - (with the amount if costs it has, it'll be ready to handle any extreme cold country) LOL
  18. Paul......I take it the paint you were watching has dried LOL
  19. Great work Travis. I'm pretty sure you're sick of seeing them whilst organising. You're efforts are hugely appreciated by many.Kindest Regards, Nick.
  20. Hey all 'Newbies'. You might want to try posting a new post of your own in 'Introductions' - that way more villagers can welcome you individually in your own post. (A little less confusion). Welcome to you all, anyway. Kindest regards, Nick.
  21. Great work Gator - love the detail.
  22. Namaste, Aravamudhan. Welcome to the village. As Mahendra said, there's lots of excellent resources here for you to explore, and some great designers. Your work is very admirable (particularly for hand saw). If you need any help - feel free to ask. Kindest Regards, Nick (Jain) - East Coast UK
  23. Whooh, Doug...HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE (whilst slightly tearful - from me!) I couldn't have expressed it any better myself. (p.s Please note-I rarely use CAPS, for anything). Nicely put, Doug. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  24. Great work Kevin - great personalised gift.
  25. I'm with Siteground right now - I recently moved and also re-building from scratch. I was with i-Page, but they are very costly for what they offer (there is huge list of things that are not necessary - to justify the price). I use Blogger for the blog, and a direct link from the site. http://www.tinkers-cove.com http://www.tinkers-cove.blogspot.co.uk/ Kindest Regards, Nick
