  1. It's great to hear from you again Jerry. I know it's been a while, and I've wondered how you've been getting on. As the others have already said...just take it easy, and each day as it comes. I know how good it must feel to be be looking forward to be scrolling again. Take your time and enjoy it when you can. There's lots of people here, waiting on your progress. Stay good & Kindest Regards, Nick.
  2. Just thought....."MISSING A FINGER INCIDENT - ANONYMOUS".....Oh hang on a minute - the acronym is "M.A.F.I.A" I can't help feeling that there's some sort of irony in there somewhere. (I can't see too many of you joining this group now). LOL!
  3. Hi James - there really is something special that I'm sure we all remember about starting with scrollin'. It's pretty cool for you really...you've just walked into the most experienced, and talent- filled village you could ever imagine. The residents here are always willing to lend a hand, and I can assure you that you will learn as much as you can ask or take-in. Kindest Regards, (and hope to see some of your work as you progress) Nick (East Coast -UK)
  4. OH NO...is this you, Doc? (Please fefer to a post named "Ouch" by DocUpton. LOL
  5. Hey Doc...hope you weren't legless, before you nearly became fingerless! LOL

    Software

Posteriza is safe (depending where you get it) - just be careful. From it's own site will be fine. I use it quite often on the large pieces I work on. For the smaller stuff I use Rapid ReSizer. To be honest - most things are fine with Rapid ReSizer, unless you're looking at creating something larger than 15 inches. Hope this helps, Kindest Regards, Nick.
  7. Hahahah...been there too Roly (maybe it's time to start a support group LOL!)
  8. Nice work Kevin. I didn't think intarsia was your gig. You seem to have made a great job of this one. Keep it up. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  9. Sometimes, simplicity works best - this is a perfect example Roly...nice work, as usual. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  10. With my last saw, I had the back raised between 1-2" which was fine. Now I have an EX-30, I keep it flat and raise myself instead. I find it much easier to work, if I'm pretty much looking down the blade - the accuracy is perfect. Hope this helps, Kindest Regards, Nick.
  11. "Happy Birthday Sul"...hope you've had a great day. It must be cool being 21 again, eh!
  12. Ohhh man...I'm right there with you on that one - I've always got at least 7 or 8 going at once. It seems that as soon as I start one, I remember another that I'd love to cut...so I start another LOL
  13. I'd second Roly on that - Excalibur are a pleasure to cut with. There are a couple of others at the top end of the market that are equally good, but I chose EX-30 after researching for quite some time. (Axminster Tools are the best dealer here in the UK)Kindest Regards, Nick
  14. I'm sure she'll love it. Cool work Frank...as usual. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  15. Hmmm...milky, sweet chai - there really is nothing else quite like it Marg. I think my wife might be getting me a traditional Indian Chai carrier and glasses on my next birthday - amazing what you can get online. Regards, Nick.
  16. Milky Chai for me please Larry. (Maybe granary toast as well if you've got any) Kindest Regards, Nick.
  17. Eye agree!...(LOL) But seriously, great cutting - I've lost a few pieces myself over the last few years...sometimes having to re-print, and re-cut when not found. I suppose that's part of cutting really cool detail - when it works, it's well worth it. I hope your daughter really appreciates the portrait (I'm sure she will). Nice work. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  18. I am SO Sorry...but I just couldn't resist this one! Ok - an "English Springer?"...look no further
  19. Get started Thomas...there's no better time than now! Welcome to our village. Kindest Regards, Nick (East Coast - UK)
  20. Hi Richard...Give this a go, and let me know how you get on. Kindest Regards, Nick. https://www.facebook.com/business/overview/
  21. Nice clean cuts Frank...as always. Regards, Nick.
  22. You need a personal page first, then you can create a group or page. Google it and all should be clear. Hope this helps. Regards, Nick.
  23. Tomorrow is another day Marg...keep smiling.
  24. Love it...I'll be sure to pass that one on. Regards, Nick.
  25. Congratulations Ken...great news. My kids are all under 14 so I have no idea of the feeling, but I imagine it must be so good - (Do we have a scroller in the making, maybe?) Regards, Nick.
