  1. Very nice cutting, Dick. I love lots of detail - it's always a long haul, but definitely worth all the effort.
  2. Hmmm...a day or so? I think we may be talking weeks here. LOL
  3. Hey...even easier Roly - I forgot you're a Brit (I'll get the train tickets sorted!) LOL
  4. Hey Roly...there looks to be pretty big (I got 3 sons on the next plane over to ya!) Ship em back when they're 18!
  5. No problems Roy. I'm certainly no authority or expert on portrait cutting, but if you want my opinion or help with anything, give me a shout.
  6. Hey Roy. Welcome to our village. Active residents are always appreciated. (We tend to get quite a few 'Day Trippers' who don't really get much and miss out.) It's great to see your work (as mine is predominantly commissioned portraits also.) You are about to meet MANY talented and helpful people here - so sit back and make yourself at home. Kindest Regards, Nick (East Coast UK)
  7. पीछे का सà¥à¤µà¤¾à¤—त करता हूं। Mahendra. Great to see you again. Your new piece is very thoughtful, and I'm sure it will put a smile on her face. Well done, and keep up the good work. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  8. Well said Roly.
  9. Exactly as above. Leave as long as possible. I'd use the thickest grade CA glue you can get (just in case it runs when laid flat). Good luck - it's much too nice to throw towards the scrap bin.
  10. Welcome to our village - take a look around and feel free to ask if you want any help or info. Kindest Regards, Nick (East Coast - UK)
  11. Hi Robert - the other guys 'n gals have covered the usual. Just have a look around and settle in. You'll find everyone very welcoming. Nick (East Coast UK)
  12. Hey, Michael. Welcome to our village. As the others have already mentioned, we have some great people here. Have a wander round and make a few friends. Welcome Nick (East Coast UK)
  13. Hi Danny - welcome to our village (I'm not sure about the "Masters of The Scroll Saw" but we try). Any questions, feel free to get in touch. Kindest Regards, Nick (East Coast - UK)
  14. I don't really understand what the problem is - it's a simplistic logo / design which is individual to the owner. You did a great job with very little to work with (and no use of your own initiative). They got exactly what was required - what is not to like? Hold you're head up, Dick - then brush yourself down, and move on to the next one (who will no doubt appreciate all your effort and hard work).
  15. Love it...nice work Keefie. (And very thoughtful)
  16. Welcome to the village, Phil. Nick (East Coast UK)
  17. Very nice Don. (I don't feel quite so obscure now - I started the Christmas cuttings about 2 weeks ago). Keep up the good work.
  18. Thanks everyone. I'll upload more when I get time. "Happy Weekend"
  19. Hi everyone. Just thought I'd show my face. Busy as usual - I have been saying that I'd update my gallery for weeks now, so I have. Drop by and have a look if you get a spare minute. Kindest Regards, Nick. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/gallery/member/5837-nicktinkers-cove/
  20. Nice cutting....but seriously - how many feet do these ladies have?
  21. Enjoy it Roly. Wish I could've travelled down myself, but just too busy at the moment.
  22. Hi everyone. I recently had a technical IT issue within the gallery section of our beloved village. After chatting and a couple of emails, Travis pinpointed the problem, and I will be adding new items to my gallery when time allows. I simply wanted to thank Travis publicly for all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I have some basic web design and HTML knowledge, and I'm pretty sure that quite a lot maintenance is needed to keep things running smoothly. I also know that the unlimited gallery space we have, is also pricey. It'd be great if maybe a few people would consider hitting the donate button (what's $10 per year for the pleasure of this great site?). Thanks for reading, and once again "Many Thanks, Travis". Your doing a great job and I know everyone appreciates what you do. Kindest Regards, Nick.
  23. Hey Bryan...welcome aboard. Best wishes, Nick (Bridlington - East Coast UK)
  24. Congratulations Roly...good times ahead buddy.
  25. I've always admired the amount of effort and detail that goes into clockmaking. They really are amazing - it takes a hight skill level to create work like yours. Regards, Nick
