  1. Hey everyone. I hope you're all keeping well. Just thought I'd share a couple of my new commissions. The work never seems to stop...unlike my heart, on a few occasions during these two. Before mounting, some parts actually 'Wobbled' when blown, and some areas of the wood are virtually transparent. I breathed a slight sigh of relief when they were set in place! Anyway, thanks for looking, Kindest Regards, Nick.
  2. Lovely...I don't need the pattern thought - I've cut a few of those before. LOL
  3. Yeah, an absolute inspiration to all. I'm actually one of a limited number of Jains, here in the UK - Maharishi the example all should be at least exposed to, before chosing how to lead a life. Transcendental Meditation could change the world if enough people were willing to listen. As for the Beatles, yeah...there's something very likeable about them, and I suppose there always will be, but for me...Donovan is the one. Peace be with you.
  4. Hi Mehendra...I kinda thought you'd comment on this thread - you are so right, some incense is absolutely exquisite. It's a regular thing in our life - it helps to slow things down a little and give a reality check. I can't help but miss Maharishi Mahesh on beautiful days like this. I hope everything is good in India for you, friend.
  5. Give it a try Doc...it'll do you the world of good.
  6. Great idea DW...only I'm not a puzzler. I'll be sure to keep the photo though - one day maybe, if I'm feelin' brave.
  7. Hi all. I really had to put this in 'Bragging Rights'. The sun is warm, the breeze is minimal but refreshing and the sky is absolutely divine. I'm in the back garden, surrounded by endless wild flowers, and I can just about hear our children playing with friends down the street. The saw is running as well as I have come to expect from it, and everything's good with the world. Just had a small sip of iced Peruvian Torch juice, and 'Surrealistic Pillow' is playing in the background, while jasmine petals fall on the saw, as I work. The smell of Chandan Dhoop and Nag Champa are everywhere and the seagulls are circling. I'm starting to forget all the unjust people and suffering that inhabits our beautiful planet. (but I'll never forget). The world should have stood still in '67 (Hippy Hill, S.F) Sorry to keep-on but I thought, I'd share a rare, cool moment with friends. Sunny Wishes to you all, Nick
  8. Great work Marg...consistently high standard, as always.
  9. Nice work, Kev...as usual.
  10. Hey, Sully...maybe it's time for a longer vehicle!
  11. A true honour, Gator...enjoy. I'm just starting to find that local people are blown away by my work (mainly by accident really-I don't tend to show my work). If people see your work in that way, you should be proud of yourself. Relish the warm glow....then get back to the saw, and make some more. Well done, friend.
  12. I know I don't need to post 3 (just like 3) but this is probably my favourite...I'm sure you all already know this one though - after drilling all if the pilot holes, use a dremel drill with a diamond cutting cone bit and re-drill the holes slightly from the back (just enough to widen them) ensuring easy blade threading, when you're unable to see the holes.
  13. Inner sanding made easy...take 2 lolly (popsicle) sticks, and glue them either side of an old blade. Then wrap fine grade sandpaper around and glue it to the sticks. Fasten into the saw and...instant thin sanding blade.
  14. Whe stack cutting, make sure that the end of the tape (joining the pieces together) is actually on the top rather than underneath. This way, you can easily spin or turn your piece faster and smoother, without the edges of the tape curling up and sticking to the saw plate.
  15. Nice one Roly (everything seems more in Dollars!) LOL
  16. I'm sure it will be a welcome boost, Kev - which is only fair really considering all of our new members and how much people actually get from the village...for free.
  17. Absolutely...come on, what's $10 these days (£7) - and that is for a year! Huge benefits for very little financial burden. This is a great place, full of friendly & helpful people. Hmmm...where next if Travis were to close, eh?
  18. I couldn't have said it better myself, sir.
  19. Congratulations Sul...always nice when all the work pays off in the end. I'm sure there's a few happy customers of yours out there now...letting all of their friends & family know where they got the wares from. Regards, Nick.
  20. Hi DW. Please find the pattern that you requested. I have also included the symbols - and the font can be found here: http://www.fontspace.com/jonathan-s-harris/chinese-asian-style Let me know how you get on with it, or if you need any more info. Kindest Reagrds, Nick.
  21. My pleasure DW. A little busy at the moment, but as soon as I get to the mac, I'll get it to you.
  22. Thank you all so much for your nice comments...it really is nice of you to say so.
  23. Hey Keefie...I know Newquay well. I met my wife there 15 years ago. We were in b&b's across from each other (just near the little church on The Crescent) it's just by Corkers & Cheyanne Moore, off Fore Street. We used to spend hours talking on Fistral (as well as in the surf). Beautiful place, which will always be special to us. Haven't been able to get back recently though...3 children and too much work. I really hope that you make the best of the great weather and atmosphere. Kindest Regards, Nick.
