bandsawman Posted July 17, 2014 Author Report Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks guys. Scrolling is a relaxing hobby, unless of course you get to the last cut and then mess up! I enjoy doing the portraits, and I make key chains, jewelry, desk sets, name plates and other assorted items. My creations have been hits at family Christmas Parties. Have a great day. bandsawman Posted July 17, 2014 Author Report Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks again folks for your support and comments. I am just now getting ready to attend some craft shows. There is no scrolling club near me in Hemet California but I am contacting a wood carving group in the hopes of joining their group. They put on a big show each year. I am also going to attend local Farmer's Markets where I can display my creations. I will post more of my work in the coming weeks. Everyone have a great weekend. Phil Quote
heppnerguy Posted July 17, 2014 Report Posted July 17, 2014 a fun hobby to have and everyone that does not scroll things you are some kind of genius because of the things you turn out. I my case I do not consider myself as either a genius or an artist. Just someone who found out 'I can do that". and it works for me. I can make gifts that says 'I love you" and I can create something that is not in the stores, for every occasion. The best part is I get to find peace and relaxation while I scroll away..Can't beat that. Nice pieces Phil. I am glad that you find it relaxing too Dick heppnerguy Quote
wombatie Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 Great work there Phil. bandsawman Posted July 20, 2014 Author Report Posted July 20, 2014 Another BIG thanks to everyone who has commented on my work. All of the work you have seen were gifts to people and they were well received. I am now working on a couple more for Christmas gifts. Does anyone out there have a pattern for Pepi Le Pew? That is one I want to do but haven't found a pattern. If you have one reply with your email address and I will contact you. Thanks again to everyone and have a great day. Quote
