Some weeks just make ya wanna throw your hands in the air, look at the sky and ask "WHY?"

Started with our 10 yr old setter battling some sort of intestinal ailment which doesn't seem to be responding so we're off to the vet again this evening.

Then my son is supposed to be best man at his friends wedding but our second car just died, and we have a commitment for the day of the wedding, leaving him with no way to get there.

Top everything off this is one of those weeks where the fixed income funds are at their absolute lowest.

Other than that it's been a great week!  Think I'll go make another pot of coffee!

I'd put some of Rob Roy's Whiskey in that coffee if I were you Dan.  It may help you to relax a little.  Hopefully things will start to improve.

For today it's like someone flipped a switch in our ailing dog last night. Arlo has been eating so little he's lost probably 7-8 pounds over the last 3-4 weeks. In fact yesterday and the day before he might have had a total of around 3 ounces of food. Then last night the vet gave us some prescription dog food designed for dogs with intestinal issues.

Between last night and this afternoon he's had almost 3/4 of a can, plus several Milk Bone treats and roasted chicken!  All in all probably more food than he's had  in the last week combined! Hopefully he's on the mend.

The car is a different matter, but we'll deal with that this week.

Things are not that bad, the dog is on the mend, you still have one car and if your son's friends wants your son as a best man he'll come and get him, money is at its lowest, cheer up it can't get any lower, lets get to the important stuff how's the saw running?

Unfortunately the good news for our dog Arlo was only a momentary respite. The following day what appetite he had disappeared. Since then the amount we've been able to get him to eat can be measured in just a few ounces per day.  It is so heartbreaking to see him want to eat but then turn away from everything offered. He continues to lose weight, and The vet told us yesterday she feels it is unlikely he will recover. I feel like I'm losing my best friend and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it.  Sorry, it's hard to hang onto ones emotions when all you really want to do is........ well, thanks for letting me vent a bit folks.
