daddy_tindell Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 I know a lot of you guys that sell your crafts do so at flea markets...craft shows...galleries...online...but i have another idea...im just wondering if it sounds like it would work? or even if its legal. i was thinking maybe build up an inventory of scrolled and turned items, advertise the heck out of it, and have a craft gallery/yard sale type sale at the house? just curious if you think it work? LarryEA Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Anything that works! Nothing tried, nothing gained. Yard sales are legal. Quote
Jim Finn Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 I am planning to do just that in November and December. I bought some signs to put on my garage and in the yard for the days I do this. This will be a first attempt at it. Quote
amazingkevin Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Lol. Here your aloud only so many yard sales a year.Go ahead and do it till something is said. What started this was people abused it and the customers would block driveways ,park on others grass etc.have the sale every day ,every week end to where it was a business like operation.Keep the neighbors happy ,no complaints no problems then. You just can't make everybody happy.I have the neighbors park in my driveway whenever they feel like doing it to visit his girlfriend.Today is the fourth time.i hate to tell them to knock it off as when i need to go somewhere i have to knock and ask permission to leave my house. Put up a $5.00 per hour parking sign. Put a pallet at the end of your driveway. A pole on each side with a rope across. Find a way to block him in Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

dansnow Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 One thing to keep in mind is this: If the word flea is in anyway attached to whatever the event is, expect to get less than 1/3rd of what you would get at a craft fair. People see/hear the word flea and they think cheap. People that attend craft fairs are more likely to appreciate/understand what it takes to make our creations. Quote

Maybe will drum up some custom orders too. Quote
Scrappile Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 I'm anxious to read your results. My brother and I concidered this once but decided not to. We felt that people that would come would be looking for the bargins like at garage sales and not be willing to pay. It would be a fun way to spend a weekend. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Um do you really want strange people in you drive asking to use you toilet and casing the joint ready to pinch all you tools the following month and anything else they fancy. I would think twice, or is it just me. Roly Quote
