Fay Prozora Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 Wow! Sparky,,, I'd love to live up there some time in one of those beautiful cabins they have up there. Wa State is sort of close to Alaska. I imagine it would take about 3 days or so to drive up there and shorter than that to take a ship. Glad you enjoyed your trip tjho tho.. Fay Quote

Sparkey Posted October 5, 2014 Author Report Posted October 5, 2014 Larry, yes I think it would be fun to vacation inland but only during the warm months. Kevin, sorry I didn't get pictures of the buffet but here is a picture of what my wife got when she ordered lobster. Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 5, 2014 Report Posted October 5, 2014 That's two more pieces than I can eat! Masterfully decorated plate. Nice one Sparky!  Quote
Sparkey Posted October 5, 2014 Author Report Posted October 5, 2014 It was a lot more than she could eat so I had to suffer through about half of it. wombatie 1 Quote
Multifasited Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 Great photo's ,I spent six months on the artic on a Ice Breaker EASTWIND ,when you see that radiant blue in Ice thats old cold ice ,I seen bergs that dwarf the ship knowing you are only seeing 1/8 of the berg that was 80% blue ,the area was just like God had just made it pristene ,the most beautiful vast unpopulated ,unpoluted area ,except the antartic ,brought back beautiful memories . Thanks for showing ! Carl Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 I took the seaescape here out a few miles to where they were allowed to gamble ,I didn't and we got steak and lobster .The absolute worst lobster ever. One bite and immediately it turned to moist powder .I guess it was freezer burnt bad.We stood on the front of the ship and it felt like we were on the titanic Quote
