LarryEA Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Ike, keep it up and you will have to build a storage room. To me, 150 is the general all purpose sandpaper. Quote

rjR Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Make 6 by 48 belts from it! You might have to get a paper cutter --like photographers use --if it is a paper backed not belt type, and just cut blanks for your palm sander and use the scraps for the special hand made sanding blocks we all make. amazingkevin Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 With that much , if its cloth backed you could make sanding mops. They are not cheap or even close to it.Cat scratch poles? Bird perches? I save my friends used sand paper when i go thru his scrap barrel of hard woods.Lucky you, If i lived closer to you instead of borrowing sugar it would be sand paper.I use 80 mostly. rjR Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) On sandpaper; I found that 80 becomes 100, becomes even a finer grit down the trail! I buy only 80 for my belt sander and after some of the harder use it will sand very smooth! I would like to run into a deal like that! Where is the best place to get sheet sandpaper anyway? I will be needing to renew my supply before too long. Also what sandpaper actually stands up and has a reasonable price? I will not even buy cheap sandpaper any more! wearing out the levers on my sander changing the junk! Edited November 9, 2014 by rjR Quote
ike Posted November 9, 2014 Author Report Posted November 9, 2014 I buy all my sand paper at a hardware store, near me , They are a little higher than HD but it is close and I like to do business with locals first, Quote
