grosa Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 The divider frame is 8' tall x 30" wide x 3" thick. The wood is Sepele. The blue bubble background is 1/4" plastic. and the corel is 1/2" Sentra. The frame was milled from solid wood. To cut out the coral, I first drew it out on a piece on 1/4" plywood then I cut out the perimeter. Then I cut it into 4 parts. When I was done cutting it on the scroll saw I pin nailed it to a piece of 3/4" plywood and made a cutting template for my pin router. It took several hours to cut it on the scroll saw. It took 6 min. to cut it on the pin router. After cutting it out I routed an 1/8" roundover on all the edges, then it was painted and glued to the bubble plastic with Weld-on glue. jellis, Wilson's Woodworking and Scrolling Steve 3 Quote

oldhudson Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) Very nice. With sepele being a endangered wood and protected species, how do you obtain it? Edited December 2, 2014 by oldhudson Quote
