Scrappile Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 I haven't been active here lately. Lots of things going on with Christmas, friends and family visits and good times. I did want to step in and show off one of my treasures from Christmas. This was built for me by my 15 year old Grandson in his wood shop class. He is the one in the family that has shown the most interest in my love for woodworking. This was very toughing for me. He is a great young man. I am very proud of him. tomsteve, lawson56, Rob Roy and 4 others 7 Quote

browders Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 There's a kid with real talent. My kids and grandkids are always asking me what they can get me for Christmas, birthday, etc. I tell them, "Make me something, I don't care what it is." Very nice work. You must be very proud. wombatie Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 I bet your heart was full that day mine would have been. He did an excellent job. My grandkids have always loved hammering 'nails' onto pieces of wood. and they have both had a go on the scroll saw but the older they get the less they want to have a go, still it was good while it lasted. heppnerguy Posted January 11, 2015 Report Posted January 11, 2015 something made just for you by a friends or family member is so special, but when a grandchild makes something for you, it immediately becomes a treasured piece. I have a few things that my grandkids have made and given to me and I would never part with them for anything. Dick heppnerguy Quote
