LarryEA Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 I like what I see. Good no, great job scrolling that basket. I see a beautiful 'white' basket. I think it would be excellent to spray paint it white. Quote
Scrolling Steve Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Very nice work!......Golden oak or Dark walnut?......Heck it's gonna look good whatever you finish it in! LarryEA 1 Quote
amazingkevin Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 I'm ashamed, here a new guy beats me to constructing a bowl. And a really nice one too! Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Very nicely done! That pattern is a fun one to do. It would look great with a tung oil finish. It would darken the wood slightly and bring out the grain of the wood. Ultimately though your choice DW Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 Nice basket, Way to go. It sure is fun to take a flat piece of plywood and turn it into a beautiful little basket, isn't it. That is what I enjoy about scrolling best. I can not make much of anything from my mind, but using the talents of others that make the patterns, makes others think I too have talent. Keep up the good work. You have so many fun project ahead of you,in your future. Try new things and surprise yourself with each one. Dick heppnerguy Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

wombatie Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 I don't particularly like baskets but I do like this one and I like the color also, so any finish that will keep it close to natural would be good. Marg Quote
