GI have a Dog groomer that has told me that I could put some of my work in her shop, to display as long as they were pet type pieces, so in order to do so, I shrank down a few patterns to enable me to get them done faster, and have something for her to put up.  First up is an Australian Shepherd by Kathy Wise.  then a Papillon also from Kathy.  Next is a German Shepherd from JGR.  All of these pieces are smaller than a sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper.

I still have a Collie, Lab, Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever and a few others to get done over the next few weeks.

Lee,

funny you should be doing all these dogs because it was dogs like this that got me started doing intarsia. Many years ago I went to a small town celebration and there was a lady with a booth of intarsia dogs. i was dumbfounded when i saw them. I could not believe that anyone could make such  beautiful pieces from wood, like those. I never forgot them. 12 years ago when we moved to Heppner and I now had a small 16 X 16 foot shop and no longer had my beautiful 20 X 30 foot shop, i began to wonder what I could do in that little shop, I remembered the wooden dogs I saw all those many years ago and looked for what that kind of wood working was called. some how I stumbled onto the name, read a little about how it was done, drew myself a pattern and cut it on my bandsaw and to me delight, I found out I could do that too. My work leaves a lot to be desired but I have grown to love scrolling and intarsia more than anything else I have ever done, even fishing. Nice to see you making those beautiful dogs now. Almost everyone has a dog  now days so the right piece is in front of them and it is a irresistible buy. You should do really well with that
