leoalls Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 I finally got a chance to place a few items up for you viewing. These are all waiting for a lemon oil dip and then a light coat of satin varnish. I planned the Humming Bird to be a on a stand with a blue/purple foil backer and no frame. The wife is wanting me to leave it open and make it oval so we can hang it in the window. The dog and cat are puzzles made from 4/4 poplar and are from one of my books. Thanks, Quote
Travis Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Those are great! I really like your puzzles. And the humming bird will look sharp with the foil backer. Nicely done! Quote
AirNationalGuardMom Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Great cuttings. I agree with Travis, the hummingbird would look awesome with a purple foil background. Linda Quote

Christina Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Beautiful work Rick.........I especially like the hummingbird and I think the foil backer will really make it pop! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Christina Quote
Fran Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Very nice work. A foil backer would look good. But I agree with your wife, putting it in a window as a suncatcher would be nice also. Fran Quote
shadylady0447 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Very nice work. I like your hummingbird....the colored foil would look very nice. Your wife's idea to have it as a suncatcher is a nice one also. There is a product called Fusion Glass that you can fill the frets with to make it look like stained glass. You can find it at any craft store. Quote
