Before I download Inkscape?

  Hello,

I have a question before I try to download inkscape. Will I be able to make a pattern from a photo of a person with inkscape? I am unable to download Gimp, I had it once before on another computer.

Hi Steve, I don't think you can, I think Gimp is the one to do that! I haven't done that type of

pattern myself, I'm going by what other people have said, Could you not try to download

Gimp again, Bob

I started with the Free Picture Stencil Maker from Rapid Resizer and scanned it into Inkscape to finish it. Then I could erase parts I didn't want and get rid of "islands."

 Thank you guys so much for your help. I will try to download gimp one more time. My computer and my internet service has a very strong virus protection. Gimp keeps getting the boot. I pay $20 a month for this protection.

shut off security , load it and turn it back on!

  Thank you Kevin, I don't know how. I got something going now. I got inkscape, I am working on one, Boy I have always been impressed with pattern makers. I will see if I can post it on here so you all can see my progress. Well I can't find it. LOL I knew I was just a scroller, Never was very good on computers.
