Is there a video or instructions that show how to import a pattern and smooth out outline of pattern?

Hey Bob sounds like you are enlarging a bit map picture.  

If you want smooth lines you have to change the bit map picture into a vector file.  Then you can enlarge it and

it will have smooth lines.  Check our tutorials page and you can find information  that Travis has posted on preparing

a picture for a pattern.

The problem is that some patterns have jagged edges and I want to know how you smooth out the pattern lines and get rid of what looks like pixel edges. Not enlarge pattern.

As I said  in my previous post  you have to change that bit map pattern into a vector file.

Just watched Travis video, and he hit the nail on the head. This is one of the tricks to making patterns look awesome useing Inkscape. Trace Bitmap will smooth out the roughest pattern and get rid of a lot of the tiny pixels.
