Popular Post Scrappile Posted May 13, 2015 Popular Post Report Posted May 13, 2015 I made this one for my wife. She is obviously a quilter. I'm trying to decide what to put as a backer. Something like the piece of clothe it is sitting on. I might put a piece of clear acrylic on the inside middle then she could use it as a plate to through pins in when doing what ever you do to make a quilt. This is a Sue Mey patterm. grampa Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Great job Paul plenty of brownie point there, think it would look good with the cotton backing........Paul Scrappile 1 Quote

dgman Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Lovely work Paul! I haven't cut that exact pattern, but I have cut several of Sue's quilting patterns. I always have trouble cutting the eyes of the needle. Your wife will love this! Scrappile 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted May 14, 2015 Author Report Posted May 14, 2015 Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Lovely work Paul! I haven't cut that exact pattern, but I have cut several of Sue's quilting patterns. I always have trouble cutting the eyes of the needle.Your wife will love this! The eye of the needle is the one thing I didn't like on this pattern. I didn't notice until I had already drilled the holes to cut the eyes, but it does not look like the thread is going through the eye. If I do another I will change that somehow. Quote
Kepy Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Very nice work. A word of caution though, be sure that she approves the fabric for backing first. Don't ask me how I learned that. Scrappile 1 Quote
