We are having an Antarctic Blast at the moment and boy is it cold.  We have not reached 10 Celsius yet and its wet.  Rained really hard all day yesterday and on and off today.  I think 10 will be our maximum temperature all week.  Bit too cold to go into the garage and certainly not warm enough to put any finish on things, the 3 things that I do have to get finished before Thursday have had to dry inside the house in the spare room.  Normally I love the winter but not this year, I am really feeling the cold.      Stay safe everyone.

Hello Marg, sorry to hear you're feeling the cold. Not much better here. Last Thursday we had to put the HEATING on and it's the middle of JULY. It's not much better today, a sweltering 16 degrees and peeing down. Not much of a summer so far, but we may get something better in August and September,(if we're lucky). I just noticed the rain has gone off, so I think I'll put on my new Tee shirt and go outside. I spent £10 pounds on it and I'm going to wear it one way or another. It's not going to lie unworn in a drawer after spending all that money . Hope it warms up for you Marg. Marg 2 suggests you get a pair of FUR LINED DRAWERS.    .

Same over here Marg the last 6 or so day's now of an Antarctic Blast, just over it last frost tomorrow -2 C and rain later in the evening.

Hooray.. never thought I'd be happy to sea some rain.

Burnt that much wood in the last 6 day's that I look's like we'd going to run out middle of August.

So here's hoping no more Southerly Blasts.

Global warming Carl!!!!. Depends what "GLOBES" you're talking about :D  :D  :D . Many moons ago, when we were working outside we wore pantie hose under the coveralls, and boy did they keep you warm. The only problem was when you had to visit the gents, it could be a bit awkward, get the timing wrong and you can guess the result. . Other than that they were quite cosy. I draw the line at wearing them under the KILT Carl. Sacrilege !!!!!. Keep well and take care.

P S I wholeheartedly agree with the toddy.  .

attempt at a little side ways humor, some thin skins take offence on purpose.Like PROFILING ,TOTALLY stupid ,everyone profiles

in some way unless you are totally stupid ,like all things it can get out of hand,in both directions THE PERFECT view ignorance compounded by arragance .or politically correct for the gifted's ability to pick a turd up by the clean end! The TRUTH now

Our Scottish friends that are over here from Neilston said that our winter is just like your summer.    :cool:   I have some thick leggins that I wear under my jeans in the garage.  They help keep me cosy.

Our summer sucks too. Coldest July on record with an average daily temp of 12 degrees Celsius . The local police force has put arrest warrants out on the local meterologists, one was apprehended tonight. Word in he will be deported back to the US. The other is still at large at this time. . So Marg, summer in Newfoundland it not all that much different than winter in Australia. Maybe I will put out the Christmas lights tomorrow,
