Hapless Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) Hi All, I have a great spindle sanding machine branded by a UK firm "Axminster" Its quite old but very heavy duty and I dont want to get rid of it. The problem I have is that when I aquired the machine it had only one drum with it and 1 sanding tube. When I enquired with Axminster they stated that it was not a metric machine so couldnt get me the spres. The machine does not have and other branding on it but I am hoping that I get find a shop in USA that could source these parts for me in imperial sizes. I have a serial number etc and it may be a Jet machine - not sure. If anyone of USA origin here could help out I would be really grateful for the info. I am English but based in Germany so parts would have to be posted via international mail!! I have attached a couple images to give an idea of the machine and details etc - I am looking for all the sizes of spindles and a bunch of spare sanding tubes of various grits. Hapless Posted September 6, 2015 Author Report Posted September 6, 2015 Hi Guys - thanks for all the responses. In the process of trying to make some wooden drums as suggested as a temporary measure. Have tried direct to axminster but no-one was able to assist in identifying the manufacturer or model numbers etc as there is only a serial number on it. Makes it difficult to find the right supplier I will persist and get this fine machine up and running if it kills me !! Quote
