edward Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Did a craft show yesterday, and wasn't to bad did around $175, table was $30, so I guess it was a good day, bigest sale was I sold my 515 train plaque for $45. Amd a good thing for the $5 ornaments which sold real well. Little disapointed that my interesting word art didn't sell. The wife was disapointed as her scarfs didn sell, a lady across from us was selling hers for 3 for $5, which my wifes were $10, and you can see the difference in quality. Think I learned how to crop pictures, hopefully I can post later. edward Phantom Scroller, Lucky2 and Scrolling Steve 3 Quote
WayneMahler Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 On a positive note. You made money and not a bad return. My wife used to make jewelry and there were so many vendors selling it that it was too much. People look at things but I doubt they see the difference in quality. They seem to focus on price. All part of it I guess. Congrats on the sales. Quote
New Guy Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Hope to see your pictures of the show. I am always impressed with the quality everyone has for sale. A friend once tried selling a craft shows and had no luck. Only other woodworkers saw the quality not the customers. Quote
dgman Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Congratulations on you sales Edward! Quote

Edward Well it was on the plus side so that was good !Well next time over load them with ornaments, lol One craft show a person had old weathered wood signs that would be on the ground or in flower bed by the entrance door that read welcome,They sold like hot cakes????That notice what sells around you !I'd say you had a good day! ;) ;) ;) Quote
wombatie Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Glad you did well Edward but sorry about your wife. Tell her that while she may not have sold anything she can be heartened in the fact that the people that bought cheap will soon realize why they were cheap when they start falling apart. Marg Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Well done ED if I make a £5 profit above the table cost I'm happy. Roly Quote
