Just wondering what makes you think they are copyrighted? Before I did the patterns for him, I did an extensive search on the internet and could not find these or any similar images copyrighted or not. If you can show me that they are indeed copyrighted images I will remove my patterns. Don R Birchbark 1 Quote
Chachi111769 Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 When you mouse over them Don they have a long number sequence which usually is related to pictures that are copyrighted/Trademarked if it were his or even a friends pics they would not have a number that long attached to it... ( this is my rule of thumb) I always look to see if there is a number attached if so chances are and I won't do it... Quote

I think that number is simply an identification number for the image. I'm reluctant to say that you are wrong but I'm pretty sure that you're mistaken. Don R Quote
ChelCass Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 I believe that when there is a doubt of an image being copyright or not copyright then anyone who is willing to make a pattern should send the pattern via e-mail and not posted here. It's all about protecting this wonderful site that Travis has created for us. When I see a request of an image such as above it makes me wary. This is a *newbie* who doesn't seem to want to join our group other then to get a pattern made. There's a lot to join any group then just what you can get from them. Just my opinion. Chachi111769 Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 I agree Judy and Don If you mouse over any other pictures in the forum you will see that none of them have an ID code such as this so I went with my gut to protect the site from newcomers getting anyone in this forum in trouble However if you or anyone want's to do it for anyone by all means do it I was merely setting this newbie person straight about this forum is all Don....I didn't intend to ruffle yours or anyone's feathers.... WayneMahler Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 I agree with Judy and Chachi. This copyright thing is so very confusing and something I believe all designers should be wary of. I applaud your efforts Chachi for protect . Tavis has indeed provided us all a great place to come, share and learn. I would hate to see anything bad happen here. Chachi111769 and ChelCass 2 Quote
