Chiloquinruss Posted April 13, 2016 Report Posted April 13, 2016 It's not scrollin' but I have a lot of fun with my cnc machine. Sign is for another model live steam club here in Oregon (one of my other hobbies). Sign 36x70 inch, 1/2 inch marine ply backer with the same material for the cut out letters. Also I rounded the edges with a pointed round over bit BEFORE cutting out the letters. All I have to do now is a little sanding ( ) and a little dab of paint here and there. Again sorry for da' pix, my cheap phone ya' know! Russ lawson56, amazingkevin, leshko and 3 others 6 Quote

Chiloquinruss Posted April 13, 2016 Author Report Posted April 13, 2016 "Nice to see close up some cnc work thanks!" The machine has fantastic resolution, here is a tiny stock car. The slots were cut with a 1/16th tapered ball nose bit. That is a quarter leaning up against the rail car. Thanks for the comments, I have a lot fun in my shop, and this is part of it. Chiloquinruss Posted May 20, 2016 Author Report Posted May 20, 2016 Just a quickie followup to my little model railroad stock car shown above. The software I use for all my CNC work is called Aspire and it comes from Vectric Software from across the pond. In this current issue of their newsletter my little stock car got a feature nod, pretty cool. Russ Quote
