So, I acquired a pretty nice piece of Ziricote, 1/2" thick, 3 3/4" wide, 23" long. Looking for suggestions. I am thinking about making another vase, but I don't think I want to do any fret work in it because the grain is so cool. But it's cool and rich on both sides. Any ideas?  Thanks, Joe

Looks like you have an alligator in the wood grain :) Joe it will be interesting no matter what you decide to make from it.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Wow! I didn't see the gator until you pointed it out!

the shape of the board would lend it to a hand saw but finding a pattern that would leave most of the wood intact would be a challenge.

The board looks trapezoid in the pic, but it is a 3 1/2 x 23 rectangle.
