meflick Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Great start on a beautiful pattern. Looks like you are progressing nicely with it. Thanks for sharing your "work in progress" . I can't even seem to get shared photos of finished projects - much less remembering to share them "in progress". The Scroll Saw Addict 1 Quote

Rob Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Ah that's better! I was worried about that dirty great flaw in the first couple of pictures but now I see that that is the back of the piece. Great cutting! It's going to be a beauty. Well done, keep it up, Rob The Scroll Saw Addict 1 Quote
The Scroll Saw Addict Posted September 30, 2016 Author Report Posted September 30, 2016 Well, it looks like I'm on the final stretch now, before the finishing stage begins 😑😀 Quote

Well done, keep it up, Rob Yes, sorry, I guess I should've specified at the beginning and also that I stack cut 4 layers from 2 different colours of plywood. Personally I think it's the light version on a black background that will stand out the most Thanks for your input! Quote
The Scroll Saw Addict Posted October 1, 2016 Author Report Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) Well, the final cut has been done! I tried to count the number of holes but my eyes gave up after about a hundred or so 😂😂😂 So anyways, I estimate I spent around 8-10 hours on preparation, stacking and cutting and went through 3 #2/0 reverse skip tooth blades which I reckon is quite good considering it works out at less than 1 blade per copy ;D All that is left now is to cut all pieces to size, make 2 copies super high gloss and 2 copies semi gloss, all on black background and in nice frames. As always- any feedback and suggestions are very welcome! Marcin Edited October 1, 2016 by The Scroll Saw Addict Jamie B 1 Quote
GPscroller Posted October 2, 2016 Report Posted October 2, 2016 Very nicely done. Turned out great. I agree with you, the light one on the end stands out the best. Thanks for the sharing the process. Jeff The Scroll Saw Addict 1 Quote

meflick Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 Definitely some beautiful pieces of art there. I would be hard pressed to decide which "color" I prefer. They look great. Glad you are finished - not sure I would have even attempted to count the holes! Thanks for showing your pictures with us here on the forum. The Scroll Saw Addict 1 Quote
