ricklab Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) Judy Roberts pattern Used red heart, tzalam, hondorus mahogany, lyptus and gonsalaves. Can't "brag " too much, big boo boo on hind leg. Repaired my boo boo, not perfect but I think it is better. Edited October 14, 2016 by ricklab New Guy, Lucky2 and leshko 3 Quote

Scrappile Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Looks great, well except for the leg. Must be someway to fix it. All that beautiful wood... worth trying. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Love it, beautiful specimen. Roly Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Rick that can be remedied by adding a thin shin at the "mistake" point I think. It still looks great though. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW Quote
meflick Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Most looks good. Do you plan to redo the rear leg? Only way I see to "fix" it at this point. As a newbie to Intarsia, I enjoy seeing your work and learning. Did you just over sand the area, or did it break or what happened? Besides the leg, rest is great. Quote
penquin Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Love the wood colors you used. Very nice. jim penquin Quote
Dave Monk Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Other than the leg it looks great. I get so bummed when something like that happens to me. It usually drives me crazy until I fix it or toss it. I usually give it my best shot to fix it. It is much too nice of a piece to scrap so I would definitely try to fix it. dave Quote
GPscroller Posted October 9, 2016 Report Posted October 9, 2016 Nice choices for the wood. Great job! Jeff Quote
Ron Johnson Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 Very beautiful Rick. As a suggestion I would correct error by adding a couple of rock boulders. Difinitely worth salvaging. Quote
Lucky2 Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 Rick, even with the boo-boo, it's a beautiful piece. Will you be attempting to fix it, can you fix it with a longer sock on that leg? Len Quote
wombatie Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 I had not even noticed the boo boo until I re read your post. It is a marvelous piece and I love the color of the wood for the body that you chose. I am sure that you will come up with something to fix his boo boo. Marg Quote
Rob Posted October 10, 2016 Report Posted October 10, 2016 Really like that and didn't notice the mistake at first. I'm sure you can find a way to fix it though, it's definitely worth saving. Rob Quote
