Owl Carved Door

This hand carved owl door in Denmark made me think, someone should make an awesome Intarsia front door.

I wonder how such a door using intarsia  would stand up to the weather?

 

I'm also wondering where I could try some carving like that but on a smaller scale -for example, on window shutters.

Yeah Dan, there are many many examples of cabinet doors, I've yet to see an entry door though.  The owl is unique to me because it is an entry door. Better get started Dan...
