  1. Made up football helmets for the shop boss and his cousins (my nephews). Original pattern is by Steven Wilson. I tweaked it some for the color schemes of their favorite teams. Maybe should’ve made the names bigger, but overall I like how they turned out. Now I need to find something somewhat similar for the shop princess and my nieces!
  2. The other graduation gift I completed this year. It’s been a lot of fun delivering them to the parents.
  3. My 5 year old wasn’t welcome at his sister’s sleepover tonight, so we had guy time in the shop. He drew some dinosaur patterns and a tree for me to cut out.
  4. It's been quite awhile since I've been able to post on here. Mostly life with two young kids has put a big slow down in my saw time. However, I still do get out shop at times. I've done graduation gifts similar to this in the past for the parents of the graduate. I've gotten this one done for this year, with another one that is almost done. My pattern with the photo I used. 1/8 Birch Plywood. I usually stack cut 3 so there are a couple of extras for grandparents too.
  5. Beautiful!
  6. Great Job, as usual!
  7. I was stunned by the news. I thoroughly enjoyed receiving my daily e-mail from Steve's site. It was always refreshing to read his positivity and encouragement to all things scrolling related. His loss leaves a massive void in the community. Prayers to his friends and family during this time. Tim.
  8. Just finished. Pattern by the Village’s H. Botas.
  9. I have a benchtop drill press that I use for probably 90% of what I do. It'll chuck down to hold a 1/16" bit. I do also have the Seyco Scroller's Drill and it works well when needed.
  10. Nice Job, but oooofff.... I can smell this picture!!!
  11. My aunt asked me to make an Urn for her beagle, Buddy, who passed a while ago. Dark walnut box, with a scrolled front. I think the pattern came from The Wooden Teddybear.
  12. Welcome from a fellow Montanan. I look forward to seeing your work!
  13. Tough Day by Mike Williams.
  14. Beautiful!!!
  15. Combination of fretwork and intarsia. Oak plywood base, birch ply letters and 4-H symbols, and russian olive trunk. 30x24”. This year the local 4-H club is dedicating the award to it’s namesake. Next year, it will award one 4-Her by adding their name to a leaf. It was an honor to be asked to do this one as I was one of Bobbie’s 4-Hers years ago.
  16. They are probably trying to get away from all the Californians, Oregonians, and Washingtonians moving in here!
  17. I recently received an order to do a Thank You gift for a graduation speaker. So I did another Montana barnwood wallhanging, with the county highlighted. One logo the speaker's alma mater Bluejay (that school is no longer in existence), and the other is Graduating class's Wildcat, which is where the speaker had his first job before moving on to becoming an amazingly successful collegiate basketball coach.
  18. Wonderful Job!!! I think I wore out that VHS tape growing up.
  19. Welcome! Good to meet a fellow Montanan in here, although we're about as far apart as possible. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects.
  20. That's amazing. Well done!
  21. She told me I can't discuss that with you.
