  1. I am having difficulty finding certain woods in the dimensions I use. Suppliers I’ve bought from online don’t have the width selection I have used occasionally. Right now I am searching for 1/4 inch white oak with 8 or 10 inch width. Do any of my fellow woodworkers know of a supplier for me? Thanks
  2. Our daughter was here with family last Thanksgiving. She admired the Jewel Box I had made a few years earlier. Guess I’ll make her one.
  3. Thanks. I have my wood spacers, top & bottom boards cut. Waiting on my next order to arrive.
  4. I live in a typically dry, arid climate in the US. The woods I order will start warping in a couple of days after I receive them. Has anyone made a device to store wood to prevent warping?
  5. I started late Spring of ‘21 and just finished. I take breaks for periods of time for other interests. When I do cutting it may be for 1 to 3 hours each time. The detail work takes so much focus and slow speed cutting I get eye strain sometimes.
  6. Replying to Merlin’s question: The rear wheel diameter is 8 3/4 inches. Actually, I reduced the patterns to 70% of original due to thin wood sizes available. It made detail cuts a little harder though. The overall coach dimensions are 25”L X 25” H X 10.5” W.
  7. A lot of detail work, assembly and finish but finally completed the largest project I have ever done. Walnut and maple of various thickness, 1/8" to 3/8". The curved end panels ended up being a 1/32" wood used for craft projects. It's the only thickness that would make the bend of about 30 degrees. Had to stack cut with 1/8" ply and a #2 blade at low speed. IMG_.HEICIMG_1085.HEIC
  8. Hi folks. I,be run across a lack of supply for some thin dimensional woods. In the 12" wide and also some 10" wide species. I.ve planned out a project that I will need 1/8" x 12" x 24" walnut and maple. I contacted Ocooch and it will be a couple of months at the earliest they will have stock. Anybody have thoughts obout availability problems? Finished the last winter project: IMG_0460.HEIC IMG_0460.HEIC IMG_0459.HEIC
  9. I always have warping problems with nearly all woods. My area climate can be low humidity and wood warps days after receipt. Is there a source of kiln dried thin woods? I,ve used methods to straighten but it's a hassle that may or may not work.
  10. I,m needing thin stock plexiglass sheets, 1/8" or less. Colored and textured. Anyone know who might supply this? Thanks
  11. I still have no luck trying to contact Pedro at finescrollsaw.com. The site is still up. I’m hoping all is well with him.
  12. Just wondering. Has anyone tried using the finescrollsaw site lately. I can't seem to get any response from Pedro there.
  13. That is some really nice work! Adding mini led to some projects make a great display.
