My next event is a big one where I used to live, Cary, NC.  It's called Spring Daze and is a 1 day arts, crafts and kids event held at the large 310 acre park.  This will be my first time there as a vendor. Total of 170 vendors, 24th year... big, big, BIG.  I've been cutting like crazy and I'll be hauling a total of 400 puzzles up there.  Now that we're within the 7-day weather forecast, things look very nice.  Zero percent chance of rain within 2 days before or after, it'll just be a tad bit warm at 88 degrees, but it's a very wooded park so there will be plenty of shade. (note to self, pack bug spray)

I was looking at the event information on Facebook a few minutes ago and noticed something... Hosted by Jimmydog Pet Portraits...  And realized, that's the guy who's booth is right next to mine.  That tells me I have a very prime spot out of the 170 booths.  You know they wouldn't be placing the host in a crappy location.  ;-)  And I'm also hoping that means extra foot traffic as folks come to see and say hello to the "host".  I'm in C29, he's C28.  https://www.townofcary.org/Home/ShowImage?id=5851&t=636275240582530000

And very impressive website and information about the event.  http://www.townofcary.org/recreation-enjoyment/events/festivals/spring-daze-arts-and-crafts-festival

Can't wait!  Let's start a pool... guess how many pieces Iggy sells, including any special/custom orders.  1 day, 9am to 5pm, average attendance is 15,000.  Place your guess.

Very Excited Iggy

Hi Iggy:

Good luck and I hope you do well also

Just getting the exposure will be a great

I'm guessing you will sell 53 puzzles and have orders for 12.

If Gordie wins this pool, he will be picking my lottery numbers for the next draw

Have fun

Maybe you can work it out that if the customer buys a portrait of a dog they can buy the same breed puzzle from you and visa-versa and both will benefit. I think you can hit 101 with orders besides.

I was thinking about meeting my neighbor and seeing if he thought we could combine forces somehow in his regular day to day business.  He charges quite a fee for his artwork... $250 for an 11" x 14" portrait, up to $2000 for 24" x 30".  Maybe he'd be willing to throw in a free puzzle with each portrait purchased that he'd buy from me.  ;-)

well you don't have 15,000 of any one breed so that knocks it down some.not knowing how many of each breed knocks it down some more.i forgot how much you were selling them for but i was told to price things that one bill will handle .Strange as it seems there's truth to it Now i don't want you to have a heart attack so my guess will be a whopping big 200,Ring the bell!

I sure hope you have better weather than what we are expecting here in Colorado. Rain and snow Friday through Sunday has canceled my barrel races Friday night and motorcycle races for the weekend.

Good luck, I'm sure you're going to have a great weekend.

First thing I do every morning is check the weather for Raleigh... and every day it tells me SUNNY 91 DEGREES... It's gonna be toasty but that's better than rain.

Counting down... looking forward to the event.  Then I'll have 3 weeks to restock for my next big event.  And I have 3 custom patterns on the way to me from Harvey Byler.  I can't believe it took me so long to come up with the idea as I'm sure they'll be very popular for the tourists here and even the locals.  I'll share as soon as I make the first set.
