Sam777 Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Hi all, I haven't been here in a few weeks (too many hours and travel at the job :( I don't think this question belongs in this section but I couldn't find an Inkscape section. Is there a script font (connected) font where I can do name as one piece? I would like something similar to the font of the attached image. Thank you all in advance Sam Quote
TheWoodArtist Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 What I do when looking for a font is go to www.dafonts.com and look through there for a font in the style that I want or even if I'm not sure what style I want I always find one on that site. Once I download the font I just install it and then go to inkscape/gimp and click on the font tab and find it. Inkscape and Gimp don't have built in fonts. The fonts that are used are what's on your computer or ones you've downloaded and installed. My favorite go to font is "Birds of Paradise" which is close if not exact to the image you posted. You can find it at "Dafont". Hope this helps. Quote
don in brooklin on Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 I have a number of script fonts loaded but could not find this exact one. So I would go to dafont.com and look under heading of script. I type in the names I want and then scroll down. If you find a font you like you can look and see what characters are included before downloading. I did not see any with a g with the curly thing on top. You may have to create on your own. One of the issues that comes up is that all letters don't join but often you can squeeze together. (use alt and arrow). Don Ancestory SF font I think comes close. My version even has the thing over the g that you could put in as separate special character. Quote
