amazingkevin Posted July 22, 2017 Report Posted July 22, 2017 a basket case was brought to me and given a $20. deposit. At that rate i took my time.Stripped it 3 times and lots and lots of sanding.the seat was in 3 pieces one back rest rod was broken and all the holes needed extensive cleaning out of the old glue.the chair was painted white.by the time I'm thru I'd be happy with $250 for all my labor. How it ended up in separate pieces I've no idea.My first and hopefully last stripping job.boy does that stuff burn fast on your skin but instant water on it it stops the pain.I had to buy a different paint remove as the one he brought i tried 2 times and it would not touch the paint at all so i found a 30 layers or 10 layers of paint remover at once .that worked better but still had to coat it three time on the places i could not sand with a sander. jollyred, Phantom Scroller, bobscroll and 1 other 4 Quote

tuner Posted July 22, 2017 Report Posted July 22, 2017 (edited) I also have taken on jobs like that, it seems I never got paid enough for the labor, but I did get a lot of satisfaction in the work. Looks like you did great job and I know it's a lot of work Edited July 22, 2017 by tuner Quote
