  1. I started using shelf liner about 7 months ago. Solved a lot of little problems. It seems the cheapest I can get works the best, holds the pattern and removes easy, I pick it up at a local dollar store. I would stay away from clear, my old eyes can't see it sometimes
  2. All good advice, and if she likes it I think what she cuts the first time is not that important.with your help the learning curve should be easy.
  3. Never asked a question that was not answered.. Always a friendly word, it was a lucky day I found ssv. So thanks to all of you that make it work
  4. I've reached a point were I don't mind making a mistake It feel SO good when I get it right
  5. Welcome from South Texas. Also a transplant from NY
  6. I have to agree with Fab4, my guess is we all have and will screw up

  8. WELCOME from South Texas, never to late to start again, and if you have questions this is the place to get answers
  9. I also copied Roff ( more or less) with my aids off the shop vac is fine. I used 3/4 pipe and just drilled holes on the suction end put some nails across the end to block the chips. Most importantly it works Not 100% bit I can live 90
  10. Kris , I may have missed read your post. Is it the wood that bucks or the saw ? If it's the saw then something is way wrong.
  11. You did great job, I had not seen this one , I like it
  12. First WELCOME My only thought is to make sure your blade is tight, and stays that way. You are getting that " ping" when you set the tension, right. Also make sure table is level and blade is at 90 deg. Good luck
  13. Really easy to look at. Great job !
  14. Elegant is the first word to come to mind. Very will done.
  15. A great job on pattern and cutting For some reason I just could not " see" it on my phone, but on a big screen it jumped out. Very nice.
