Craft Show Questions

What are the most questions you get at craft shows? And what are some of the most bizarre questions?

I get:

1. How long did it take you to make this puzzle.

2. Did you cut all these?

3. I lost a piece of a puzzle I've had for years. Can you make me a replacement?

Yup, I get the carved  and laser question too. I even have an 8" x 10" wooden sign that says hand cut, no laser!

Wife:  How do you get the pieces to fit together so well?

Husband:  They are cut with a computer.

Me:  No sir, I cut them with a scroll saw.

Husband:  Impossible! A human can't cut with that kind of precision.

Man:  They must be molded plastic.

Me:  No sir - they're wood, turned on a lathe.

Man: Can't be - You can't bend wood like that!

My #1 question is Laser cut ?

My #2 would be How long to make this ?

And #3 would be How long does it take to make these ?

I get the normal comments on how beautiful and look at all that detail. Occasionally you get someone in front of that asks what kind of scroll saw do you have ? That makes me feel really good that they recognize what it truly is

Yep they know it all and never cut a piece of wood in their life !!!!!!!

for my Intarsia, the question seems to be..  How do you get so many colors without stain or paint?

People are people.  Some are educated to some extent, some are simply ignorant of the subject.

Almost forgot. Always get the question: which is the most difficult puzzle in the booth.

Also, which one do you like to cut the most.

What I hear the most is :  "Are you local?" I also hear "Laser cut ?"
