Frank, you certainly are a talent!  I have had a nice wood burning set-up for years that my wife bought for me.  I can't even come close to as good as you have done.  I bet you can paint pictures also....

Very nice work.

Thanks Paul and to answer your question no I am no good at painting at all ,apart from walls :)

well done frank, I have one of the 35$ burners from a craft store and have used it from time to time but have never really caught on to this, likely due to the poor quality of the burner.

what did you get?

can you post a link/pic?

I am looking at upgrading as I think pyrography is something I would really like

I got a Peter Child not sure where it was purchased from as it was a present but I know amazon do stock them as I am in the uk not sure if a link from me would send the item to you but I will add one for you to look at and perhaps investigate if they send to your area :) I have seen people do it on very cheap burners though so you may find cheaper where you are I like this one because the heat up and down is almost instant and I can make my own tips as well from a reel of wire.

ya ok thanks that is the kind I though it was, the one I have is completely different is more like the pen only that plugs in and has different bits that screw into the tip. I am going to look into buying one like this.

thanks again frank and scrappile
