new2woodwrk Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) I stained a few of my test frames pre-miter jig, but I really like the color. First I used Minwax Pre-stain then Minwax Red Mahogany 225 Thanks in advance for looking Thoughts? Edited March 25, 2018 by new2woodwrk Lucky2, jollyred, barb.j.enders and 2 others 5 Quote
spirithorse Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 Very nice looking frames. Well made. I also like the color. Minwax has another shade of stain called Gunstock that I like very much. God Bless! Spirithorse new2woodwrk 1 Quote

Lew, I forgot to mention - the mitered inside pieces are 3/4 'L' Molding. I use them because when I add them to the frames, it leaves a 3/16 edge on the inside so I don't have to rabbet the outer pieces and if I need the full 1/4" they are easily ripped on the table saw Edited April 12, 2018 by new2woodwrk Quote
