Popular Post Scrappile Posted May 22, 2018 Popular Post Report Posted May 22, 2018 (edited) I have a mid 1980's Echo brush cutter that I bought new and have worked it hard over the years. This year I started old faithful up and the throttle handle broke. It was plastic, got brittle over the years. No where could I find a replacement, new or used, so I used the broken one for a pattern and made a new one. I used 1/8" BB three pieces stacked. Cut the center piece so I could fit the spring in and drilled a hole through the center piece and an outside piece to put the cable holder in. Glued them together with the third piece (the other out side piece), drilled the hole through the three pieces where it is fastened to the housing. Sanded it all smooth, decided to cover it with a coat of epoxy for addition strength and protection and walla, back in business. Okay no big deal, but I'm happy, I sure would have hated to give up on the tool because of that little part breaking.
